New Handmades

Sorry it has taken me so long to post here. I have been really busy trying to work in my gardens(they were a real mess, since I opened the shop on Sept 7th, I didn't do my normal fall cleanup work and I paid for it this spring) and getting new things done for the store. I have finally finished a batch of fabric crows. I painted and distressed them and put them on wreaths, lath frames, and in wall baskets. They were really fun but took longer than I thought.

Last weekend was our salsa giveaway with any $20.00 purchase. I brought in a line of salsa(black bean, peach, zesty and mild). I also have added grilling sauces, and some salad dressings. The salsas and grilling sauces would make great Dad's day gifts. We can put them in a plain brown bag and add dark green tissue, so they won't think it is from a country shop.
I also have decoys(cork and wood), they are old and we have a few wood planes.(not airplanes but tools). So even though most of our shop is geared towards the house and gifts for your family and girlfiends, we did think of the dad's out there too.

We did travel shopping for the store on May 18th, 19th and 20th. We picked up an order of furniture, mostly black pine. We currently have both single and double piesafes. We also were able to get a few tip out garbage cabinets, it helps hide an ugly garbage can. I also have several cabinets in a variety of styles. I was also found some great handmades.

We also added a drink mix line. Iced teas, Lemonades and Pina Colda mix and lots more. Last weekend I mixed up a peach iced tea and it was really good. Lots of customers liked it. We will try another this weekend.

I hope if you are in the Columbia County this weekend you will take a few minutes and stop at the shop. We are located at 263 Fairview Ave(Rt 9), just outside the city of Hudson. Our shop is bigger than it looks and we have lots of ideas we are willing to share.

Have a wonderful week.
